How to Play Fantasy Olympics

In the Winter Olympics version of RosterSlots.com, you build a roster of teams to compete in selected medal events for each day of Olympic competition.

Fantasy football is over, fantasy baseball is over a month away, so why not try fantasy Olympics? Also, if you’re interested in playing RosterSlots.com during the upcoming baseball season, playing during the Olympics is a great way to learn more about the site and send me any ideas you have for improving the experience for baseball.

Here’s how to play:

1. Go to www.rosterslots.com/olympics.
2. Log on to the site (or create a new account if you haven’t done so already).
3. Select an event from the Events drop down menu.

There are four selected medal events per day. Each one uses a different set of teams (countries).

4. Click the Olympic Torch icon to “play the slots.”

The slot machine returns a trio of participating countries.

You have 12 spins per day to fill out your roster for each of the 4 events.

5. Decide to keep or replace the trio of countries returned by the slot machine.

The results show the all time medal count for the given country in the selected event. You can also click Team Details to see learn more about the team.

Scoring is as follows: Gold Medal = 3 points; Silver Medal = 2 points; Bronze Medal = 1 point. For Example, if Norway is one of your teams for Ski Jumping and the Norwegian team wins a Gold and a Bronze, Norway scores 4 points.

When possible, the countries you see have at least one competitor in the field for the selected event. However, in some cases, countries without a competitor will appear (for example, when the field is determined too soon before the medal competition).

6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each of the day’s medal events.

You can view your current lineup by scrolling down the home page, or by selecting View Lineup in the Actions drop down menu.

7. Return as often as you want to check your stats and to create a new lineup for the next day’s events.

You will receive your daily results in an e-mail. You can also check results and standings by clicking View Scoring or View Leaderboard in the Actions drop down menu.

You can play as often as you want. There is a daily and an overall leaderboard.

You have until 1 PM Eastern to set your lineup for the day.

Note: Some features that are part of RosterSlots.com for baseball are not available for the Olympics. These include:

• Daily Trades
• Personal Leagues/Networks for Tracking Other Teams
• Transaction Logging and Analysis
